Introduction:
De Vere is a leading hospitality brand that has been serving its guests with exceptional quality services for over 20 years. Recently, the De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel decided to enhance its outdoor space by installing two tipis, along with a timber framed entrance, clear extension and solid wood furniture. The primary objective of this installation is to provide a unique and comfortable setting for an outdoor restaurant and event space.
Challenges:
Tortworth Court was looking for a unique structure that would complement its outdoor space and fit within budget. They wanted to ensure that the installation was completed efficiently without any delays or disruptions to their daily operations.
Solution:
After assessing the requirements of the client, we recommended the semi-permanent installation of two tipis that would provide a comfortable outdoor space to fit the brief. The installation was unique in several ways:
- The tipis were aimed to blend in with the natural surroundings, while creating a captivating venue – making them the perfect choice for an outdoor space.
- The extension installed added the additional space required to accommodate a large seating area with tables and chairs – around 80-100 covers.
- The handmade furniture provided by our supplier was of the highest quality timber and provided a durable, comfortable and elegant seating experience for the hotel’s guests.
Implementation:
One of the biggest challenges we faced was the tight time frame for the project. We had only two weeks to complete the installation without causing any disruption to the client’s operations. Our team worked closely with the hotel management to ensure that the installation was completed on time.
Prior to the installation we completed a site visit; inspecting the proposed spot where the tipis would be built, ensuring that the surface was level and stable. We then erected the tipis, followed by the extension, which was then attached to the tipis. The furniture was assembled inside the tipis, and we ensured that each piece was in its proper place, and all furniture was aligned.
Outcome:
The installation is an excellent addition to the hotel’s outdoor space, providing a unique and comfortable setting for diners and guests. The tipis have become a popular spot for events, weddings, and celebrations and will be in situ until the end of the year. The furniture provided is highly durable and perfect for use, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the venue.
